March 20th National Native HIV Awareness Day Free Lunch and Discussion at the Seattle Indian Health Board

Join us! The Seattle Indian Health Board and Urban Indian Health Institute will host a discussion on HIV and stigma in honor of National Native HIV/AIDS Awareness Day.

In addition to free lunch, free hepatitis C and HIV testing will be provided!

NW New Works Festival

Excited to announce that an excerpt from my piece The Most Popular Unpopular will be debuted at On The Boards NW New Works Festival in June!

Now in its 35th year, the NW New Works Festival showcases new and experimental works from a variety of performance disciplines, upholding its mission to showcase tomorrow’s artists today within the Northwest’s creative community.

Curated by a panel of peer artists and arts administrators from across the region, the Festival provides rehearsal time, an honorarium, documentation, and the opportunity to present work at OtB. In the past few years audiences have witnessed new pieces from artists including Tim Smith-Stewart/Jeffrey Azevedo, Jessica Jobaris & General Magic, and Markeith Wiley — all of whose work has become part of regular seasons at On the Boards.

Open Studio offers artists a regular platform to present a range of works-in-progress: from a few minutes of new material to a performance installation to an excerpt of a durational performance. All projects are self-contained and technically constrained, providing a low-pressure showcase that encourages experimentation. Audiences have the opportunity to engage informally with artists and give feedback after each showcase.
